Hello,
I just bought this vase which I thought was whitefriars BUT can´t find anything like it. it has no identifying marking and the pontil looks like other whitefriars pieces I own. it is cased glass and looks like a knobbly vase the opening is much smaller than I have seen.
It stands 6 Inches (153mm) weighs 1088gm
This one has me beat
Can anyone help me identify it?,
Thanks

Hmmm it's an interesting one and I like it. All I can think at the moment is that it's a "back door" one that wasn't finished properly but I'm not sure if it would have had a polished pontil if this were the case. Hopefully Emmi will be along and shed some light on it.

At 6 inches tall it does not conform with any standard W/F shape at all for that size, and the rim shape is of the type used by other manufacturers of "knobbly" vases like in Czechoslovakia. My knobbly blog is here: whitefriarsknobblies.blogspot.co.uk/, if it is of any help - all standard shapes, sizes and colours shown there. On the other hand it looks Whitefriars "ish", so could be a "back door" on that was not finished at the rim in the normal W/F style.
